This adorable little bustle dress was made for a girl about age 5 or 6.
A fancy original circa 1884 girl's two piece pink check silk bustle dress. A lined tunic style bodice with a vibrant magenta silk faille faux jacket style front, deep lapels with mother of pearl button accents that repeat at the cuffs, a stand up collar, a blind side of front hook and eye closure.
A matching bustle skirt with a three tiered box pleated ruffled hem, an attached draped and bunted overskirt, a button waistband closure, and a sarcenet lining.
From an early Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania family estate home.
